Congratulations to Tracy White and the pair of Degus she adopted! We didn't even have time to post them on the site.
So don't forget...we do keep a waiting list. If there's a particular pet you want, we can keep an eye out when we visit shelters and when we get calls for help and can contact you when an animal in need arrives.
Also...we had a sad moment with a call for help lately. A girl was trying to help find a home for a friend's animals but just as a foster home opened up, she came home to find that her father had either dumped or killed the rodents. This was not her fault, but please, when calling or emailing for help, be as patient as you can. We are trying our best and there's a limit to how many animals we can care for at once. When a space opens up, we fill it right away. I'm just sorry this girl's attempt a kindness was destroyed.
And never, ever dump a pet animal into the woods or parks. They are not capable of survival and may even destroy an entire ecosystem.
