Congrats to Sugar the Hamster
She's doing great so far! She's so friendly-she walks right out of the door of her cage when we open it. She especially loves running around in her ball; our cat Slippers follows her around the house as she rolls. :)

Congrats Little Peanut!

Congrats George and Georgina
Hooray for George and Georgina, a pair of piggies who have found their
forever home with Jennifer S.! We're so proud of these little squeakers.
Before we were called to help them, they had already been through at
least 2 homes. We're glad we were able to help Jennifer find them so
they could enjoy the good life from now on!

Oreo found a new home!

Buster is a Lucky Guy!
Congratulations to Buster, the pretty tri-color guinea pig who loves
cartoons, but whose original home had no more time for him...we found
him a fabulous new home with a fellow guinea pig buddy and a family who can't wait to give him tons of love! Hooray!

Our cute rattie pals found a wonderful home. Have fun! Also, all 15 of the baby syrians from our adoption assistance program have found homes. We are so happy for them!

Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation
3R Rescues: Raleigh Rodent Rescue has a licensed small mammal wildlife rehabber on our volunteer staff to help care for orphaned and injured wild animals. Visit this page to see who we've helped lately...
Squeezle, Rikers, and Folsom: Squeezle was discovered running up to dogs at a training class at a local park! She had been orphaned when a storm destroyed her family's nest. Mothers often reject babies if the infant's body temperature gets too low. Squeezle was too young to understand the dangers of the world so she was taken in and cared for until she was properly weaned. Since squirrels do better after release if they are raised with other squirrels, so a kind rehabber from Wildlife Welfare transferred a pair of orphaned baby squirrels to us to keep Squeezle company. Folsom and Rikers grew to be two proud and playful boys. All 3 were returned to the wild in May. We wish them loads of luck and happiness.
